I recently purchase the D-Link DCF-660W Wifi CF Card from CompUSA, well, because it was just so darn cheap ($20 after rebate). It's still somewhere on the road trying to get to my house, but I thought I'd find out the following while I'm waiting.

I have a CF-->PCMCIA adapter that I use to transfer images from my CF cards to my laptop. Is it possible to use the CF-->PCMCIA adapter in combination with my new D-Link DCF-660W in my laptop for Wifi?

Thanks!

I have the same card. There are no drivers other than what comes with the card, so it is limited to PPC's.

I happened to look at the card at www.expansys.com when searching for something else. They boldly claim: "You can use a PCMCIA Converter to with this card in any Windows Laptop or Notebook". Does it come with Windows drivers now?

...site does NOT mention drivers for desktop or laptop based Windows OSs...

Interestingly, the FTP site apparently has a XP driver for the DCF-650W card.

...but NOT for the DCF-660W card.

Bummer. That's too bad. :( Is it at all possible that another company uses the same OEM parts as D-Link who may have drivers for desktop/laptop support?

I have the AirPlus PCMCIA card DWL 650+ for my laptop and a DW 900+ access point for the lan. Does anyone know of any compatable 22Mb/sec CF cards for my Dell Axim 5?

I don't know of any 22MB/sec CF cards, but I don't even think that your PPC would be able to utilize the full bandwidth. Even the 11MB/sec seems overkill.
