WASHINGTON - Microsoft Corp. withdrew a security improvement for its flagship Windows XP (news - web sites) software after it crippled Internet connections for some of the 600,000 users who installed it.

Agreed -- that's what links are for. Post a synopsis and the link for details. In fact, posting the whole article could be viewed as illegal, violating the news service's copyright.

On the other hand, I despise posts that only have a link to something, with no text telling what is being linked to.
