I am trying to connect an Ipaq 5450 to my work network using Wireless and not having much luck. I have read a lot of stuff on the net and in this and other newsgroups about how to do this but none of it seems to make much sense to me - what I really need is a step by step how to for dummies. Does anybody know if such a thing exists? Alot of what I have read seems to relate to small networks without a server etc.
As it is, my Ipaq will see the access point but I cannot access any network functions like the internet or files and have no idea how to go about syncing. My work network requires user logon and allocates IP addresses dynamically. At least for starters what I am trying to find out is:
- how to configure the connection in Connection manager (I have read the
how-to on cewindows.net) but it seems to leave me with more questions than
answers;
- where does active synce need to be installed (on the server, or just on
the computer I normally sync with?);
- how do you enter a username and password etc;
