The famous ActiveStink issue- now one more.
I dont know how many of you have been playing with a 2 computers partnership, but there are just so many problems.

When I tried to sync both side, I found tasks are marked as complete always being overrided (back to not completed)... I cant tell when will the sync actually make a task complete... just need to keep doing funny resolving conflicits until finally the task disappear couple days afterwards.

Anyone has resolution about that?

I've had the same problem over and over. I finally gave up trying and now just sync with my work machine. It's too bad really. It should work.

Maybe PPC2003 will fix this... (fingers crossed)

I gave up trying to do the same as well. I have a desktop and a laptop and I only sync with my laptop since that's what I always have with me.

While ActiveStink is installed on my desktop as well, I have none of the sync clients activated. So its only purpose is as an install conduit for new software.

I use two computers to sync - one at home and one at work, and have no problems with this at all.

The key is to use the PocketPC as the "task master" so to speak. If you mark the task off as completed on the PPC and not the computers, you should have no problems

Thanks, thats a solution, but not seems to be acceptable for me- if I always make sure device sync from time to time (i.e. the complete status is being sync to the device prior to sync to 2nd machine) I dont expect such behaviour- A simple timestamp comparsion in fact should take that issue away!
This thing still stink... I hope one day finally it Sync.

Good tip. I may just try this again on the weekend if I'm feeling brave. Does it matter where you create new tasks (either PC or the PPC)?

Thanks again!

No - doesnt matter - ActiveSync wont delete a task created somewhere else because it never new about it and doesnt have anything to say it did exist and now does not (if you get my meaning) :?
