Hi All
I am stumped. I am lucky enough to have my home Wlan working with no soft resets sporadically required but that’s not the problem. I am trying to connect to a shared folder on my desktop via wlan which I had been able to do previosly. A hard reset, as a result of some dodgy install software left me starting off with a clan slate.
Firstly the Wlan is all set up and working fine again, so I don't think thats the problem, I can sync and browse online.
When I go to PPC Explore and select Open and type my desktop machine name I get the following error:
Pocket PC Networking: a device with the same network name is already on the network. Tap start >Settings>System Tab>About>Device ID tab, change your device name
I have tried:
• Changing my Ipaq device name
• Unsuccessfully selecting Open from the PPC Explorer bar and used my desk-top's IP address instead of machine name
• Successfully pinging my desktop PC from my Ipaq
• Used Pocket Hosts to link my desktop IP to the machine name
I am on version 1.10 and have the Wlan patch.
Any networking geniuses out there who can provide any help?
