Good Evening,

Ok, so here is my million dollar idea... Get one of the Archos 20Gb Jukebox MP3 players to connect to the PPC. The million dollar question, is how do you connect them? The Jukebox connects to the pc via USB 2.0 (backwards compatible with USB 1.1). Is there some sort of USB to CF adapter? And if there is, would the PPC recognize the Jukebox as a removeable hard drive? Just think, 20GB worth of movies to watch on that long flight!!!

Cheers,

Dominik

Obviously NOT YOU since you posted this message THREE TIMES!
Please ONLY POST ONCE!

As to your question many PDA's have a USB interface for synching that must be possible to use for other purposes as well such as your proposed interface to another device.

You would need a PocketPC that supports USB host (rather than the USB slave used for syncing). I think the Casio E200 and Toshiba E740 do this. The other option would be to use a CF USB host card (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8625) that was mentioned here a couple of times.

Besides the thread Fred linked to, there's also the "USB Host CF Card Now Available For Preorder" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9310) about the RATOC Systems USB/CF adapter.

However, it seems they've only tested it with the iPAQ, Dell and Loox, not the Toshiba line (as you also posted this in the Toshiba forum).
