I purchased <a href=http://sdd.toshiba.com/main.aspx?Path=/818200000007000000010000659800000940/81820000010d000000010000659c000003b7/8182000000e6000000010000659c000003be/8182000000ea000000010000659c00000371/8182000000ef000000010000659c0000037b>this</a> lastweek, as an extra storage to girlfriend's laptop.

I was curious if I can connect that to an axim ... perhaps using a SD to PCMCIA adapter ?

I am using the 3400 mAH battery, which makes the axim thicker on the bottom area. If I can put the 1.8 inch HDD on the upper area (behind the axim, just on top of the battery) ... this will not only flatten the back of my axim, but also add 5GB of storage. nice.

Anyone know a SD to PCMCIA adapter ? Is the adapter requires SDIO ?

What about a CF to PC adapter? I know those exist.

Well since it's just memory it shouldn't have to be SDIO, but I don't know if anyone makes something like this.

Well, no luck on the SD to PCMCIA adapter. I was wondering, suppose I managed to attach the 1.8" HDD into a PPC, that will seriously impact my battery lifetime, right ? given that HDD uses motors, etc. ?
