I am very new to this concept, as a matter of fact I'm debating whether I should get a PDA. Assuming I do, it will have to be a Pocket PC, for maximum compatability with my Windows XP computer.
First task - learning about what it is, how it works and various available models. Is there a site or a few of them that are considered the best and most informative?
Any help will be greatly apprecieted.

Thanks.

Welcome to your new world ReuvenNY! You're in pretty good company here. Lots of reviews and a very active members forum. Cruise through the postings and you will find a wealth of information.

You may want to check out MSFT's own www.pocketpc.com (http://www.pocketpc.com) as well. They have some good information on the hardware and certainly the operating system there.

Various sites with varying degrees of utility, information, and discussion. You can be overwhelmed by the volume of discussions, but when you search for answers, one of these sites is sure to deliver.

This site. Excellent. Keep coming.
www.brighthand.com
www.pocketpcmag.com
www.pocketpcpassion.com
www.cnet.com
www.pocketloft.com

Those are the ones on my favorites list. YMMV.

You've found it: this site. Many great information here.

I also found Aximsite.com helpful. Aximsite.com is more for the Dell Axim users, but there are many general information and tips for all. Check out these sections: Encycolpedia (http://www.aximsite.com/modules.php?s=&name=Encyclopedia&op=terms&eid=2&ltr=A)
Tutorials (http://www.aximsite.com/tutorials/) and
FAQs (http://www.aximsite.com/faq/)
PAD Corps (http://www.pdacorps.com) has good reviews.

Before buying a Pocket PC, browse throught the various forums. I'm sure you will learn a ton!!!

Take 'Thoughts for a spin, kick the tires...I think you'll agree: this site has everything you need to make an informed, intelligent decision...

Plus: the forum members are really cool!!!
