I am a literature major in school but love technology and have had palms and now a pocket pc for 3 years now. I want to write a program that lets me create hierarchical tasks. My student budget doesn't let me afford PI or other programs like that so I think it would be a fun hobby to make my own.

What do I need to get started. I guess programs are in VB or C++. What do I need to download to get started using it and are there any good tutorials to learn how to write the code. Also, how do I write a program that works for the PPC.

I am completely new and don't know where to start but I think it would be a great hobby to pursue on the side.

You will need Microsofts Embedded Visual Tools (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=F663BF48-31EE-4CBE-AAC5-0AFFD5FB27DD&displaylang=en). Then check DevBuzz (http://www.devbuzz.com/) for a starters guide. Good luck.
