Bluetooth Error with Expansion Pack

A strange thing has started happening with my 3870. I have it in a Whitney CF Expansion pack with a 256MB card in the slot, and after a soft reset the bluetooth refuses to fire up (the usual message about insuffient memory). Now if I take the CF card out, and do the soft reset, the bluetooth starts just fine. Then I can put the CF card back in, and everything is OK.
Ths is new thing...I used to just leave the bluetooth on all the time, and it would fire up after a soft reset no problem.

Anyone got any ideas?

do you by any chance have any progs on the cf card set to start up when the ipaq is reset?

no, there's no programs on that card at all...only data. The only thing that has changed is that I've installed a new version of Sprite Backup...but thats on my SD card.
Maybe I should uninstall it and see if that fixes it
