I'm always fascinated by these ads when I search eBay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3020812346&category=38331) for stuff.

I know some are emails on who to write to try to become an authorized reseller etc, but I wonder what the new twist on this particular offer is. Anyone ever jumped into one of these auctions? Is it the scam I think it is? If so, is eBay good about stopping these guys?

It's almost definitely a purchasing matrix. We talked about it a while ago (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=11006). I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, myself. :)

Most interesting. I'd never make the purchase being too skeptical, but I have a natural curiousity about scams and was curious what the angle on this one was.

This would explain why buyers leave positive feedback, because screaming would only make them less likely to benefit. The criminal mind is a fascinating thing.
