pcmcia reader for toshiba hdd

i bought a 2gb toshiba hard drive for my pcmcia sleeve.
It is working ok, but transferring files to the drive is very difficult[slow] via cradle-activesync.

I believe i need a piece of hardware for transferring files directly to the hard drive and i could not find an external reader for pc cards. Any body knows any place to buy a usb reader/writer?

btw, is there any other way of transferring files other than using activesync? i mean any other 3rd party products..?
