One word... Why? (WBIC? )

Can anyone say, "Fire Hazard"

Not only a fire hazard, but no EMI shielding, poor ventilation, no grounding except through the wiring and since when is 76 Euros cheap?!

don't spill coffe on it. Your computer will literally dissolve.

I couldn't quite figure that bit out. :)

The one upside of it: it's presumably lighter than your typical metal PC.

Imagine if you spilled some sort of tasty beverage on it, you would no longer have a PC case, but rather an expensive pile of pulp. Your PC may not survive either.

Just imagine if you got caught holding or carrying that thing when it is raining outside, not only would you have a sopping wet PC case, but you would have to deal with that wet cardboard smell.

Another thing is, this thing would be very easy to destroy, someone could literally step on your PC case and crush it, thus severely damaging your components inside.

I bought one and it came delivered in a really nice metal container. :D

Just a warning, be careful where your place your PC if you buy one of these cases. I went on vacation for a week and when I came home, there was a drifter sleeping on my GeForce4.

He He!

Yeah, I can't count the number of times I've run around in the rain with my desktop PC in hand. :D

I guess this is a big step towards making computers more recyclable.

I don't quite understand. I assume drifter = dust bunny or similar?

'Cuz usually when I hear/read the word drifter, I think of a homeless transient person.

However, if the card had power to it the whole time, that transient person would probably find it a wee bit too warm to sleep there.

I refuse to buy one until it has matching cardboard keyboard and mouse!!!

Is this a classic case of 'Why?'
'Because I can'
?

It's impractical, it costs $75, and the cleaning lady in your office is likely to throw your pc away by mistake.

If you needed to send your computer somewhere, shipping would be cheap! A) It's lighter, and B) It's already in a box! Just slap a shipping label on the side.

P.S.

Don't forget to put a "Fragile" labal on it too. 8O

Yeah, right. The Posties don't give a rat's ace about no stinkin' fragile label. ;-)

cool idea, i think, but really stupid to do. Just like jumping off a cliff. You can do it, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Is that a Mini-ITX?

I think its a great idea. I'm hoping that its made of recycled cardboard. A thin coating makes it spillproof, and besides how many of you really do use the cupholder that slides out of the front.

If costs are 76 Euro's now with one manufacturer, that would drop with more getting into the game.

Well it would making doing case mods easier... an razor blade and water based paints.
