what the deal with the e755 screen?

Hi,

i was in my local circuit city to play with the e755 hands on and was surprised by the screen. I had my e740 and my girlfriends 1910 to compare it to and the 1910 blew the e755 away. Now I know that hp and toshiba are two different companies but next to my e740 (all pda's set to max brightness) the e755 was basically the same brightness/sharpness. I was expecting a dramatic difference what with transflective display and all. Can anyone tell me, maybe it was a bad unit but is the e755 screen really noticiable different from the e740? The difference between the two was really minisucle to me.

Maybe a bad unit - or maybe they set out a e740 instead of the e75x? I have compared the in-store e75x to my e740, and I can tell a difference. A Palm-using coworker also saw the difference.

Thanks for the reply, I hope it was a bad unit because I am certain it was a E755 ( the buttons are differrent and there is a pocketpc logo in the corner). I am going to check another store to see thier display unit.


on another note, just got my vaja case for my e740. WORTH THE MONEY

I definatly agree. I traded a 3955 for the e755. Although the screen is not as good, it is still comparable. The brightness is fine and the color saturation seems only a tick of the level that the 3955 is on
