Hey folks... I've been looking at a lot of the new PocketPCs coming out recently, but so far have found nothing that thrills me quite like my beloved Jornada. For that reason, I've decided, for the forseeable future, to stick with my Jornada. To that end, I'm looking at what expansion options the Jornada has so that I can keep current with others who have SD only expansion slots...
Now, I know about some of the options, but I don't know if there are others that I'm just not aware of. Here's what I know about, am I missing anything?
* Battery w/MMC slot
* Extended Battery w/MMC slot
* Battery w/PCMCIA & MMC slot
* Extended Battery
* Clip on Keyboard (replaces flip cover)

keep current with others who have SD only expansion slots...
What does this mean?
Why would you want to do it?
What do MMC accessories have to do with keeping current with others with SD only expansion slots?
I am somewhat confused.
I can definately recommend the StowAway keyboard if you have a need to enter any significant amount of text (such as taking notes or writing a report).
A WLAN CF card is nice. When going to university there should be numerous wireless access points that you can tap into ;-)
Are you perhaps looking for an extended battery with SD slot, or maybe a CF card SD reader :?:

Perhaps I phrased my original post poor... :(
Here's the deal... I'm finding that increasingly the devices that I might want or that others I work with (or family members, etc.) have SD type devices. I imagine that eventually SD might becomes a more standard format for PDA replacing CF... that is if it isn't already. I want to be able to share data with these other devices and people, and so have a need for a compatible media type.
For that reason, amoug others, I was looking at other PocketPCs... particularly the Axim as it would allow me to retain by CF memory and other cards while still giving me SD capabilities. However, I really like the Jornada. I like the form, the layout, and I love the flip lid for the extra protection it provides. I can just slip my PPC in my belt case without worring about scratching the screen.
So, I decided to keep my Jornada and look at expansion options for it. I just got the Battery w/MMC slot and enjoy the fact that I can now at least exchange data on MMC cards with the people I know who are SD slot only. Yes, I know that MMC and SD are not totally exchangable between the two, but there is some capaiblity there.
I guess I wonder what other expansion options are out there that I may not have heard about? I consider myself a relatively informed PDA guy, but I only recently heard about the PCMCIA adapter, so I figured that might be other options out there I wasn't knowledgable about...

Semson's & Co. has a CF adapter that accepts SD, MMC, Memory Stick, or SmartMedia. Gadgeteer has a review of it here:
Gadgeteer review of 4in1 adapter (http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/semsons-4in1-cf-adapter-review.html)
I haven't tried it yet, but aside from being a bit bulky, it looks like it'd work. :)
