Anyone know of a good video player that will play *.wmv files and install on the H1910?

Have you considered Windows Media Player? :D
If you're searching for an alternate .wmv player, I don't believe you'll find one. You'd be better off encoding the files into .mpeg or divx, and then using Pocket MVP (http://www.pocketmvp.com).

I thought the 1910 having the 16mb ROM came with a CD of Extras for RAM install including Reader and Media Player etc. This is the same for the 36xx series if upgraded to PPC 2002.
I seem to remeber that to confuse matters MS put the desktop version of Media Player on the CD too. But you should also find Pocket Windows Media Player version 8.0 which should install and work fine.

Don't all "new" PPC2002 devices come with Windows Media Player built in?

WMP8 for PocketPC is included on the CDROM. It installs without problems on the 1910. Now of course why anyone would want it is another matter  WMV encoded video does help to keep file size down, but the playback quality is poor at best.
