Hard reset?

I've got some loose files in my dell which idun need.i'd like to start afresh. can i do a hard reset to give me a clean slate?

presumably all files will be gone?

That's the point of a hard reset. The only things that won't get deleted are items in the Dell's Built-In Storage (or whatever they call the user-accessible Flash ROM storage area).
