Keyboard utility

I recently picked up a stowaway keyboard in a bargain bin and am tickled... but... the software support is a little lean :(

Are there any utility programs to enable keyboard shortcuts for anything, like say "Ctrl-B" to bold something in Word??

I don't expect a PPC version of LapTopHack (Palm) but something on the same track would be nice.
