Just who exactly is shipping my axim?

A simple question to those in Canada and have recieved thier Axims already; which parcel delivering service is the one that will give me my axim? ups? purolator? express post? priority courier?

(just why am i asking this question? i'm just really bored mind you, until my axim finally does arrive)

iirc, Dell Canada uses Purolator.

My delivery date was Thursday and it didn't arrive...so I have to wait at least until after the LONG weekend!

Nope, I called in to make an address change a couple of days after i ordered and they said that it has not yet arrived from the manufacturing plant at Texas. Once it arrives in their warehouse, they will ship it via purolator.

That made me a bit curious, so I checked the order status. If you look at the link, you will see that this site is being handled by Dell US.

They said "maybe' on 17th (Thursday).
That would've been insanely fast.
Spoke with Dell Canada on Thursday...

since this is a long weekend (longer for some than others), but i myself have to work on monday, but there are other things such as schools, and some offices that are closed on monday (easter monday). so, in knowing that, does purolator deliver on monday?

Hmmm...I'm waiting for my Axim too. Dell lists it as shipping on April 15 with an expected delivery of April 17 to April 21. Well it didn't arrive Thursday so I am now waiting for Monday.

But you raise an interesting point with Purolator. Aren't they owned by Canada Post now? And Canada Post = Crown Corporation = As many Stat Holidays as possibly allowed. :D Seriously, I deal with Purolator quite often at work and am pretty sure that they will be delivering on Easter Monday.

Just as a point of information, the Axim's are being manufactured in Taiwan. Then are then shipped over to North America. I live in Wisconsin and mine was shipped from Tennesse. I think dell has distribution points and comuputer manufacturing facilities scattered around North America. And by the way congrats on your choosing Axim, they are great machines.

No, not yet. (remember I was only planning or spending $118.00 when they goofed up the pricing :) ....but the offer they made was just too good to pass up) I'll probably pick up a keyboard and a spare battery later on this summer.

Like thefo I ordered mine on April 11, and the Dell website shows that my order status is: 'Order is being prepared for shipping April 15, 2003'. Oh well, maybe tomorrow. Good things come to those who wait.

Update. Just checked the site again and my order now shows: 'Order has been shipped from Canadian hub April 21, 2003' Woo-hoo, tomorrow for sure.

doh. mine didn't come today either. I see thefo's took about 10 days to arrive (from time of order), then i would expect mine to come on the 25th -since i ordered mine on the 15th?

And my "Order is being prepared for shipping" seems to be staying at April 16th - and no further. :( I don't know if I can wait that long. Too restless.

eternalblue, I think we are in the same boat and I bet we can get it on Wednesday, here is the logic:
Thefo's order is being prepared for shipping April 14, 2003,it arrives Monday.
Video11's order is being prepared for shipping April 15, 2003, it will arrive tomorrow.
Ours are being prepared for shipping April 16, 2003, it should be here the day after tomorrow.

Hi,i ordered my axim on apr/14/03 the dell site gave me a ship date of apr/15/03,the order has been picked up from the canadian hub apr/21/03 at 18:21 ,called purolator and they said it won't be here till friday the 25th as it is coming by truck(canadian hub=ontario,me=vancouver)here's to another 3 day's :(

Rec'd my Axim today (April 22) via Purolator. :D And yes, based on some paperwork that was with came with it the Canadian hub is in Mississauga, near Toronto, so you may have a bit of an extra wait if you aren't in Ontario.

Haven't had a chance to play with it much yet but my first impression was 'Wow what a cool looking cradle with the glowing blue Dell logo'. Then I thought 'Wow, what a great looking screen' and then when it finished its recommended 4 hour charging I thought 'It seems a little bulkier than my Jornada 565'. Overall, very impressive and half the cost of the Jornada purchased this time last year.
