D-Pad question for new purchase but with some up to date info?

Some of the newer Axims that are coming out, are the dpads any better or still mushy. I use my pdas mostly for work but I do like to use morphgear to play roms. So far the iPAQ 38xx series has the best dpad to me. The e550 is not great for gaming so it needs to be replaces and my 3855 has been used way too much and needs to be put down. Wanted to wait for the new HP 2200 series, but the Dell may be the winner in price and features.

The dpads are still mushy; but now they seem to be more responsive. Mine registers button presses in all directions. The mushiness is actually good for ROMS IMO because you can rotate it around with your thumb easily like a joystick. Takes a bit of getting used to, though.
