Ipaq 3970 and SD card write-protect message

I am absolutely furious :evil: with my sd card (256mb Integral). Every time I take it out of my Ipaq, and into the card reader, it gives me the message that the disk is write protected and I cannot copy my files in it. When I manage to copy my files init from the card reader (after several attempts), I insert it in the ipaq and when I try to delete it, I get the same message from the ipaq! :crazyeyes: The switch on the side of the card is definitely on the right place (upwards).

Has anyone else experienced a problem like that? I’m starting to think that it’s the card’s fault and that maybe I should return it for another one!

I've had problems like that with my 128 MB Sandisk SD card. It seems to be largely a Sandisk problem...if you can get a different brand of card, I'd recommend it. Otherwise, a replacement would probably work better.
