I dont really care for the std ear bud that ships with the SX56. I would rather get a small boom mike and better ear connection.

anyone used anything they can recommend?

buy one of the adapters from ppctechs (needed if you use any other headset) then you can buy any of the universal headsets from jabra. I currently have the earwind, which is the original earset with a winder on the cord. The earwind/earset is a all-inclusive design where the mic is built into the ear piece. It works really good and I like way better then the std headset that comes with the PPCPE.

I did some earlier thread searching based on what was said here and found this:

Maybe I just learned something.

The unit cord with 2.5mm & 3.5mm jacks is for Jabra or other headsets, and a stereo headset for music playback I guess.

The one with 3.5mm on both I am not sure why, unless some companies make headset/mic combo's in 3.5 instead of 2.5?
