My computer had decided not to let me install anymore programs on my AximX5. :? It says: "WINDOWS CE SERVICES NOT FOUND ON THIS COMPUTER".
I can sync OK, but cannot install anything. I tried to re-install Activesync but it's telling me it's already there.....
Is there a way to bypass AppManager to install new programs?
Thanks.

Not unless the developer is using CAB files or Spb AirSetup from www.spbsoftwarehouse.com - you might want to try visiting Handango's OTA site for direct to Pocket PC installs.

Try Cabinstl from http://www.geocities.com/s_k_s_k_s_kru/util.html to load the cab files for programs into specific folders on your ppc.
You can root out most cab files on your desktop by going into the program files or program files\activesync folders.
I would guess that most install routines put the files in those places, even if the ce services won't copy them to the ppc.
good luck

I took a chance and re-installed Activesync 3.5 and now it back working!
