There have been a lot of rumors and rumblings about the upcoming new Pocket PC OS. Any idea or thoughts as to how it will or won't affect Phone Edition users? Will there by a Phone Edition 2003 with the glitches like SMS name identification fixed?

Like all OS releases, Microsoft is extremely tight-lipped about it, and you'll find nothing other than vague rumours and articles full of errors about it.
But...
Rest assured that when Microsoft allows us to talk about it (most of Pocket PC Thoughts team is under NDA), you'll find solid information right here.

Windows CE 3.x is capable of addressing 64M of memory. I haven't seen yet if Pocket PC Phone Edition 2003 using Windows CE 4.0 will address >64M. I did the PCTechs 128M memory upgrade and would like someday to address the total space. As you most may know PocketTech provide a driver, TstDisk, to allow addressing og the upper 64M.

I have been a keen watcher, and occasionally poster, of PPCThoughts for some time now. I originally became hooked by the fantastic, and usually very accurate, rumours and insights that contributors posted on this site.
On more than a few occasions I even managed to find out information ahead of the local distributors.
Unfortunately it would appear that Microsoft, and the hardware vendors, have figured out the perfect way to hobble this exchange of information. By giving the editorial team access to info and holding them to 'Non-disclosure Agreements' they have been able to cripple the flow of rumours and freedom of exchange that once existed on this site.
There were hundreds of posts regarding PPC2002 prior to its launch. Graphics, specs and reviews.
I went looking for PPC2003 and can hardly find any.
...but then again perhaps its just me.

Some of them refuse to sign Canon's NDA when they think that they know enough with what they found alone.
I like this behaviour.
