There's a Pocket PC bug that seems to trouble a lot of people - I see this question asked almost daily in the Pocket PC multimedia newsgroup, and when someone posted the solution from HP tech support, I thought it was worth archiving the solution for reference.<!><br /><br />"In order to resolve the issue, we suggest un-installing Windows Media Player on the iPAQ. After un-installing the same, please follow the below mentioned steps to re-install the Media Player.<br /><br />1. Locate the folder 'Microsoft ActiveSync', 'Windows Media Player' on the<br />Desktop PC.<br />2. Delete the 'Windows Media Player' folder on the Desktop PC.<br />3. Synchronize the iPAQ with the Desktop PC.<br />4. Install Windows Media Player using the upgrade CD.<br />5. When the wizard prompts you to select the default directory, please make sure that it is set to: <br />'C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\Windows Media Player 8'.<br /><br />After performing the above-mentioned steps, we suggest installing the Windows Media Player update that is <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/software/pocket/playerupdate.asp">available for download.</a><br /><br />Thank you,<br />HP eServices"
