Smart phone Question

For MS Smart Phones (not pocket pc phone addition on pda), can you do voice recordings and sync as files as you do pocketpc?

I read where you can create a voice attachment within notes, but I prefer to hit one button and recording a file just like on my pocketpc.

Any thoughts?
