Gonna do some serious installing soon...need help

Okie guyz, I didn't have the time to properly 'arm' my iPaq since I'd bought it abt a wk ago, so I'm planning to do some serious installing soon. Will need help, so here goes:

(Btw, I'll be installing the 4 official HP-released major updates b4 installing any 3rd-party s/w)

I'll be needing the following...

1. A today plug-in
2. A proper file-explorer
3. A proper & thorough uninstaller
4. An AV player
5. A landscape-orientation thing.
6. A s/w to format & possibly defrag storage cards.
7. IM s/w

My own solutions:

1. Get ICbar or battery pack 2003(erm...if I get either one I wun need the other rite?)
2. Resco File Explorer
3. That 'remover' many mebers mentioned...I'm still finding the link, can't find yet...have to dig threads...
4. PocketMVP(I went to the site, but on the 'download' pg, got various versions, dunno which to use?)
5. E_T, I believe u could help me here?
6. The 'FlashFormat' or another popular one mentioned sometime ago(which is what btw?)...
7. ICQ(Is there a version for PPCs, couldn't find it on ICQ's homepage, unless I'm supposed to use the 'for WinCE 1.')

Thanx in advance. Btw, I dun mind paying for the s/w, though I doubt that many will need to be bought, except no.1 & no.2.

7. You haven't looked hard enough... :wink: Here (http://www.icq.com/download/ftp-pocketpc.html). You may not be able to install properly because there is a flaw in the setup program. After your failed installation, go to Program Files/Microsoft Activesync/Icq folder and locate the *.cab file and just copy over to the temp folder of the PPC and click on it on your PPC (not from your PC!!!). Then it will be fine.

Which one do you think is better? Flash Format or Storage Tools?

You may not be able to install properly because there is a flaw in the setup program. After your failed installation, go to Program Files/Microsoft Activesync/Icq folder and locate the *.cab file and just copy over to the temp folder of the PPC and click on it on your PPC (not from your PC!!!). Then it will be fine.

Why will it be like that? Will this situation occur for everyone?

uh.... yes... It happens to everybody that I know who tried to install.
Give it a try... who knows? :wink:
But if it doesn't work, just follow the instruction.

I use Storage Tool.
