Two questions about Journal Bar

1. I have an Axim, a Socket BT card and T68i. I set up my BT modem the way that AT&T describes on their website and I connect just fine for email and such. The problem that I'm having is that Journal Bar doesn't want to sync when in the cradle, if the connection setting is for the BT modem. And it doesn't sync when I make a BT connection if set to "Internet Settings". Is switching this manually each time I make a different connection just the way it is, or can I do some thing to make this automatic?

2. I'm also running the demo version of Thunderhawk. It seems to run awfully slow when I make a BT connection. Is it just a bandwidth issue where Journal Bar is syncing upon connection, or does anyone have any other thoughts?

Try doing this. Start (menu) | Settings | Connection | Connection (icon) | Set the center to Work Settings. Tap modify... | Proxy Settings | Check this network connects to the internet | ok | Set the top to work settings, and the bottom to work. Tap | ok | X |

Now test and see if you can.

Journal Bar still seems to have problems. I have notice on my Dell with bluetooth. If I manually invoke an update, and the Bluetooth connection for the LAN is not complete (and this seems to take up to two minutes after my Dell is showing the connection made) That Journal Bar will sit there all day and NOT update. Just flash the icon.

I'm using PocketPannel 2003 V3.2 and have it set up to display a bubble when a network connection is made or lost. I'm running Widcomm on my PC. I had thought when the PC shows a connection, I had one. What I'm seeing is this is not true. It can take up to two minutes before the Dell has everything it needs. If Journal Bar is invoked in this two minute period then it will not update, I have let it run for hours, and it will not update. Also I have it set to update everyhour. So to my mind there is still a problem with Journal Bar.

I have some odd things happen with Journal Bar as well. Sometimes everything will update with no problem other than the weather.

The weather did not update from Wednesday last week until Saturday when it suddenly started updated fine. I use the cradle connection and my 802.11b card and the results are exactly the same.

Right now it is working perfectly. I agree that there is a bit of a quirk with the program.
