Hi all- I am new to the forum and have qustions regarding surfing the web on a t-mobile pocket pc.

originally, t-mobile told me that I had to re-direct my hotmail e-mails to another site. Then I went into a data specialist and he gave me a specific web site to log onto with my pocket pc. That worked once.

Currently, my system connects however, the error message always says that, "That page is not available" I'd appreciate any help anyone can offer as one of my main reasons for purchasing this was to log onto the net. If there are any articles someone can refer me to regarding using the web feature or accelerating the transmission, please let me know.

Secondly, the may issue of pocket pc speaks to a rom upgrade. My system is currently running 3.14.4. Should I be concerned with this upgrade?

Thanks in advance for any information you can offer. I love the product, the more I get into it, the more it can do for me and the happier I am.

I went to www.plinkit.com (from my ppc) and followed the link to Hotmail from there and it worked. This was yesterday :)

No, 3.14 is already the up-to-date version, so no update is required.

Unfortunately, I don't use Hotmail on my PPCPE, so I can't help you there.

I've never been to plinkit.com before. Is it a site designed specifically for use with mobile devices? I will visit this evening.

thanks so much for the info. I have one more question that I will also be posing to t-mobile customer service. Is it possible to customize the stock responses for my sms? When I tap, "new sms" a link comes up to, "edit my text" and a stock list of text responses come up. I dont see an add or delete to create new ones. Is that possible? Must they all be within the 140 character limit? Thanks again for any help you can offer.

Hmm, re SMSes: you're right, the My Text responses seems horribly broken - it seems you can't add or remove any, but you can change the existing ones. There might be a third-party app to work around it, but I don't know.

As for limit, yeah, SMSes can't be more than something like that (I think 160 is the precise limit, but it might vary from carrier to carrier).

140 on T-Mobile, 100-120 usually on the others...
