Release of Smartphones in the US? Should I wait?

Does anyone know when MS Smartphones will (finally) be available in the US?

There has been a lot of announcements and chatter about different hardware (HTC, Mitac, etc.) but I can't seem to find any estimated release dates.

I am currently in the market for a MS powered device (phone edition or a smartphone) and I'm trying to figure out if I can/should wait for the new devices.

I was using a Treo prior to this and was quite happy with it.

Any input would be appreciated.

Rumor (again, sorry) has it that T-Mobile will be releasing an HTC unit this summer.

There was also one other company I posted on a few months ago (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8960).

Nothing is absolutely firm, but things are slowly looking up. As to whether you should wait, it depends on how badly you need it.
