hey there folks! long time no posting!!! :(

ive earn myself an old but trusty ipaq 3760 a few months back... and now im considering selling it to get a newer powerfull pocketpc device!!! and im wondering what to do!

we have the new xscale processor coming to several pda makers.... (the pxa 255 with a bus that hopefully will take care of the speed issues and then we have the pending release of an updated pocketpc version....

so! what to do??? i need your help guys... i dont want to expend to much money on a new pda... no more than 350 $, i just need a better batery life... (the 3760 last about 3 hours with the backlight on) and expansion options.. which the 3760 doesnt have (no onboard... you can add that bulky sleeve wich i dont like)... if i want something new... must be the new xscale pxa 255....

and what about microsoft? how long till they release the new os version? perhaps with some tweaks for xscale???

i wait for your wise answers! :P

Under $350 + great battery life = Dell Axim, 300mh for $200(after rebate) or 400mh for $300. I think you'll be very happy if you get one :)

what about viewsonic...??? and what about dell releasing a pxa 255 version????

arent they replacing all models with the new chip?

You can get a just as good, refurbished one for $189 with all the standard things the new ones come with, at Dell's Outlet site.

Eventually, sure. But it's going to take a while for all the manufacturers to release PXA255-based models; they're not going to just splice it into the existing production line, since testing is needed.

If you really want good battery life AND under $350, I would say that the Axim is definitely the best way to go.

The iPaq 1910 probably won't get you battery life better than your 3760. I don't think the ViewSonic will either.
