View Full Version : Anyone Want to Wager?

Is anybody running a pool on when Janak will pass Ed for #2 on the post list? :-D

I'm betting Monday between 10 AM and noon EST.

Steve

P.S. I was just offered the option to make this post sticky. Isn't that something that should be reserved for Admins?

Uhh... You know I don't post to fulfill bets...

Fixed.

p.s. If you really want to do a big wager, how about betting when you switch to the next (as yet unseen) rank?

I'm guessing it will be after 1600 posts. They seem to be having a 300 post increment now. (Wow, that sounds weird. It wasn't that long ago that I didn't even have 300 posts.) If my guess is correct, that would be sometime next week, I think -- unless we get a good WiFi theft discussion going.

After that, I'm guessing 2000+ will be the next level. That level should be something like "Honorary Admin".

BTW, I made my guess without looking at how Jason has it set up (I still haven't looked)...

That level should be something like "Honorary Admin".

When you reach the next level, you have to start paying Jason for bandwidth...

You know, I could always try to sabotage the count by bringing up some topic on Sony standards or DRM in an effort to get Ed's juices flowin!!

I don't know. You passed Ed by posting over 2300 times :!: in a little over three months. Remember Andy's "Top Ten Posters" thread (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5614&highlight=top)?

Jason was 3040 posts ahead of you back then. The current Top Ten list has Jason at 4880 and you at 2924, so you're less than 2000 posts behind now. You've gained over 1000 posts in about three months, so you should pass Jason in September. :-)

And you said I'm addicted? :razzing:

Funny you mention that, b/c me and Janak had a conversation about posting activity back in early December when he was sitting on about 550 posts total. A few weeks later, he became an admin and then never looked back.

...and I thought my posting activity has increased during that time... Big Daddy J has enough posts in that time to lap me nearly 3 times over !!

...and I had the nerve to tell him that EdH was a circus freak b/c of his posting activity but Big Daddy J wasn't!!

I personally think "Janak Parekh" is actually a shared account, that there are 4 or 5 people posting under that name. If you look carefully at "his" posts, there are at least 4 very distinctive writing styles...

Hmmmmm..... :silly:

8O I didn't realize I had multiple personalities...

Anyway, I suspect my posts have changed tone slightly as I became more "assertive" on the board. Do you want me to switch tones around instead? ;)

Steve's probably also suspicious because I post from more IPs than the usual person.

Or maybe I do have clones... 8O

As I read this thread, I began wondering who had the least posts... I didn't realize how many people were registered with this site... Anyroad, just so you know the fruits of my search:

3465 people have registered but never posted and

another 1395 have only posted once.

Wow. Thanks! How long did it take you to get this?

Oh, and this means that 8299 - (3465+1395), or 3439 users have posted "multiple" times. That's pretty cool. :) I'd be curious how many users posted multiply outside of Jan. 1, but that's waaay too much work to figure out.

Acutally, I used to. When I was trying to learn more about PPCs while deciding what to get and waiting for mine to arrive. Now (when I'm home) I read the names of all the threads with new posts, and then read the new posts on threads that sound interesting. Unfortunately I have to pick and choose at this point. :(

I'm just scared what will happen when Jason launches his photography and digital imaging sites. 8O No sleep for  :jawdrop:  me EVER!

So, what % of you Internet experience is reading this site? Mine must be close to 50% to 60%. 8)

That's hard to define, as a lot of my "internet experience" involves leaving my mail client open and being on IM while doing something else. In terms of my browsing experience, I'd say 70-80%.

Funny, I was just thinking about that. PPCT is becoming synonymous with the internet for me (I should start telling people that I need to dial into PPCT instead of the net). After finishing my visits with PPCT, I'm often stuck with what else I want to do on the web... I know there was once a time where I did other things on the net that were interesting as well, wasn't there?

...but my addiction is gadgets and this site is like a BIG GIANT SNOWJOB of gadget-geekery!!! This site is just run by geeks (*cough* unless your name is Brad Adrian and you wear an eVest, then you're not such a geek according to the other admins here :?).
