Oof, no operating system bundled? This is not for the average enduser. ;)

Probably won't run on Windows XP :(

Worrying thing, seeing the numbers, thinking back say 5 years, this machine probably is a bit more than just a heavy PC. "4 cabinets and 1 power supply" is that 4 19" cabinets ?? You probably need a heavy concrete floor to support it and the power supply of a small city to power it....

Thinking of this, it probably will not be a simple UPS delivery then :)

But very cool to have in your living room.

Hmm,

Reading the post again: "removal and transport TO BE ORGANIZED by the buyer" indicates that UPS probably is no option indeed.

Definitely not. This is a very applied number-crunching supercomputer (note the number of vector processing units). This thing (sporting 143MHz CPUs) would be spanked by a $500 PC in overall XP performance, but if you were doing complex research simulations this would hold its own.

I'm thinking DOS 5, just to see what'll happen. :)

Won't work... but I think you already knew that. ;)
