A Confused iPAQ 5455 - It does not know if WiFi is on or off

Several time now, but iPAQ 5455 has gotten into this state where a part of the wireless software thinks that the WiFi is turned on, and another parts thinks it is turned off.

Has anyone else seen this?
Currently I am unable to get it out of this state so I am unable to use the WiFi.

erm, I experienced it onle once.

try popping the battery out and then putting it back in. worked for me...

Thanks for the tip. Sure enough... it fixed the problem. But what a pain.
