It seems like such a perfect combination, but there is very little talk about it ...

What is anyone using for weblog posting from their PocketPCs? I would think something that lets you write offline and on-the-go on your PocketPC, and then upload the entry during ActiveSync, would be just the ticket. A search of these forums did not reveal any recent discussion of this, so I would like to know how y'all might be doing it.

Additionally, does anyone know of weblog hosting services that can dish out a nice display on a PocketPC screen, like via AvantGo? My blogspot does not look nice.

I have 2 suggestions. If you have to stay with Blogger, then take a look at this (http://prometheus.frii.com/~vampyr/blogger/about.html) (Edit-Strike that! This isn't working any longer.)

However, I found a PPCT thread for PocketBlog (www.pocketblog.com (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1024))

Otherwise, depending on how mega you want to get, I'd suggest looking into a PHP-Nuke hosting service. It's features are WAY beyond a simple blog, but they are so cool (Including an Avantgo conversion feature.). PHP-Nuke has many of the same features of this board and I wouldn't be too surprised to find out that the early days of PPCT was with PHP-Nuke (I wasn't hanging out here back then.), but I could be wrong. Jason? PHP-Nuke is licensed under the GNU/GPL license, so if you have a box to slap it onto, it won't cost you a dime. Otherwise, you'll pay a web host a few extra dollars a month to have it hosted for you.

Okay, so what are the options for reading blogs on a Pocket PC? Is there some software that does this (similar to Avant Go, maybe, where you have a list of blogs that get loaded into your PPC every time you sync it up?)

Lots of the blogs that I like have an XML feed (including my own), but I don't really understand how it works or what it does....

You have half your work done for you already. Your site auto generates the XML feed (You can see it at http://www.gospacewaitress.com/index.rdf). All you need to do is get a news feed reader program like PocketRSS (Have a look here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=7097) for a previous discussion on it.).

Of course, if you just want to use AvantGo to view your site, you can use the custom channel feature and add your site url and change the particular settings as you desire, but that's not as geeky ;-).

I use pocket livejournal, from livejournal.com
It kind of sucks, since it isn't a paid avantgo service, but can only load from avantgo. This means it takes extra time to download when I sync, which is annoying. Heck, sometimes it doesn't even download and I end up having to e-mail myself my journal entries.
