Hi,

A colleague and I are trying to link our Pocket PCs via 802.11b to transfer file. So far without success.

I have a Dell Axim with Linksys WCF11, he has an IPAQ 5450.

We are both in Ad-hoc mode with the same SSID, but can't connect.

Any ideas?

Cheers!

Maybe you are connected, but unless like in Windows 9x/higher you have a network "shared" folder, you won't be able to do much more than ping each other via IP. (vxUtil)

You would need to set up some kind of service to share the files, something like vxFtpD (FTP Server) on one with vxFTP (FTP Client) on the other. (No, i don't work for Cambridge but here's a link, at least you can try their products and find out if it will do what you want. http://www.cam.com/index.htm)

Yer other option is to get a PC involved and share a folder on it with the two PPC's?

I'd just beam it or throw it on a memory card. Sorry bud, I tried this too....
