Well, I finally bought it, a new pocket pc, the Ipaq h1910. Everyone is raving about this device, how small it is, how light, and what a beautiful screen it has. But I guess I must have been spoiled by my old E-125, because at first sight, I was quite disappointed with the Ipaq. It is nice and bright, and of course, it is much better visible outdoors, but hey, the space between pixels seems much bigger and everything has a slightly blue-ish tone to it.
I am going to keep the Ipaq (of course 8) ), but one little tear will be running down my cheek when I put my E-125 up for sale on Ebay. *sniff*
I'll remember you forever, Cassiopeia (or at least until a pocket pc comes along that has a screen just as great as yours..)

Hi...
I still have a E-100 and I know what youj mean about the screens.
My iPAQ 3650 is the main PocketPC for me know but I still like the screen on my Casio.
Good to see another Canadian here. :D

Bob: There's a lot of Canadians here (myself included -- but I think you knew that already ;)) Jason Dunn (owner of the site) himself is Canadian :)

No question that while the new transflective (backlit reflective) screens are superior to the old sidelit-reflective screens.
However, indoors, the old Casio HAST screen is still king. If you noticed how inferior the 1910 was compared to the Casio125, go take a look at an iPaq 38xx and you'll feel a LOT better!!

Indeed. Karin, you've got nothing to complain about - you haven't ever used a reflective display. ;)
I hope, btw, your display isn't defective. When I saw the 1910's screen, it didn't strike me to be all that bluish. I guess it could be more bluish than the E-125, though.

No worries. I don't think it's defective. If I look at it now, it seems ok. But just compared side by side, it is so blueish that the E-125's screen looks almost pink (when a white page is viewed).
Now after a few hours of playing with the h1910, I am much happier with it. I can accept the less than perfect indoor screen, because in exchange I get so much other stuff... the size, the outdoor screen, pocket pc 2002, the design, the size, the weight, the sound quality, the speed, and... did I mention the size??
Btw, I got the h1910 for CAN $ 469 at London Drugs. They just got it in. All the other places (Cendirect, Compusmart, Handheldcanada, and even HP.ca) have 4-6 weeks stated for delivery. Plus, that's the cheapest I found anywhere.
I better go play some more with my new toy! :D

I miss my HAST as well. I've actually been watching ebay for an EM-500 to come down into the $50-$60 (US) range, just for nostalgia's sake.
