I am planning to buy a powerbook G4 with bluetooth built in to replace my old windows notebook. And I now have a ipaq h5450. That means I may not have my own windows machine in the future. So what can I do with my h5450 and the MAC?

I don't need PIM sychronization. By using networking, I can do backup, file transfer.

But what if I want to install a new software? Most software still don't have a handheld installation version. Any solution? Or any software on windows can covert/repackage a desktop installation version to a handheld one?

Can I use bluetooth to set up a shared internet connection on powerbook so my h5450 can get on internet when there is no wifi?

I highly recommend Virtual PC6 with either Windows 98SE, XP or 2000 OS running. I use VPC6 with 98SE and XP to sync and install any apps on my 3955. Some .exe files can be directly PPC installed but most still use a PC desktop .exe installer to get the job done. VPC way less hassle than PocketMac, IMHO.

Keep an eye on PocketMac Pro (http://www.pocketmac.net/). Most PIM data can be synced to Mac OS X software, but installing software on your Pocket PC can be problematic. They seem to support software that is distributed in cab files, according to this FAQ (http://www.pocketmac.net/faq5.htm#5.16) entry, and have a beta utility that may be able to install programs distributed in other forms, as well.

The current issue of Pocket PC Magazine (http://www.pocketpcmag.com/) has a review of PocketMac Pro v2.0 which might be of interest. Unfortunately, the article is not online and is only available in their print or electronic versions of the magazine.
