I am looking for the simplest way to copy a dvd movie to my 1910. I have a 256sd card so memory should not be a problem.

Is there even a way for that to happen? A DVD on a 256? A DVD at all on a PPC?
:?:
I want to do that :!:

Well, there's no way to directly just hook up a USB reader, pop a DVD into your computer, and copy. There's encryption on the DVD, and more importantly, a DVD is a couple GB large. So you'll have to convert your DVD movie into a DivX or mpeg file. And, I hate to say it, but a 256MB card may not be large enough, depending on the size of your rips.
I know very little about the subject, but check out these two meaty threads here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=9170&highlight=dvd) and here (http://www.pocketpcthoughts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=8141&highlight=dvd).

Sorry, didn't really pay attention to the question  ...
You have to go through several steps (see spursdudes' links above), but you can rip a DVD down to a size that will fit on a 256MB card (which can be transferred to the card via a USB reader)...

it's true - the best way i've found to rip dvds for ppc playing is to convert them to mpeg, and then use the windows media player encoder 9 to convert them to windows media files sized for ppc. they average about 90Mb per hour - so a basic 2 hour movie would fit (just one, though). the conversion explanation at pockettv helped me learn how to convert it to mpeg.
