It would seem as if Pelican's 1020 Micro Case (http://pelican.com/cases/cases.html) would be perfect for making the X5 quasi-bulletproof. The interior dimensions of the case allow the X5 to fit with room to spare (for padding):

5-3/8" x 3-5/8" x 1-11/16"
(13.65 cm x 9.21 cm x 4.29 cm)

Anybody travel with their X5 in a Pelican 1020 when a little extra armor is needed?

Check out Otterbox as well for their Armor range. I have reviewed one of these cases before and they are rock solid.

The Armor line by Otter looks really sweet, though I gasped when I saw the price -- 50 bucks. Retail on the Pelican is about $16. I'm sure there's a slight difference in quality, but I've used Pelican cases before for my underwater cameras and they're top-notch.

Pelican is the standard to beat in air- or water-tight cases. Everyone uses them law enforcement, professional photographers, military, etc. I would easily choose Pelican over Otter hands down. And you also get those nice little foam cut-outs. :D

I've never used Pelican before so can't comment on them but Otterbox really are indestructible while leaving your Pocket PC still very useable in the case. You also receive foam inserts for different PDAs.
