HP IPAQ 5450 - stops requesting fingerprint within 36hrs freq usage

Dear All,

The major draw card for me with the HP 5450 was the much lauded security feature.

However, although I've set it to request both pin AND fingerprint each time it is switched on, I find that after about 36hrs of freq usage (turning on and off) it ceases to request my fingerprint. i.e it just asks for the pin.

I can rectify this by performing a soft reset, but it's a bit irksome doing this daily.

Has anyone else found this to be a problem? Solutions?

Do you use Resco File Explorer?

I have the same problem and I believe it is caused by Resco.
If I don't use this program the Fingerprint Bioswipe works fine.

I have mine set to fingerprint or password, but I get this also at times. It appears it is linked to amount of available memory when it is "powered off".
