I would like to find a program that would sniff out Wi-Fi, but everything I find does not support Socket CF cards. Does anybody know of one that will work with my new Axim??

Thanks,

Jerry

I've tried the PPC version of netstumbler and it doesn't support the chipset used in the Socket CF wi-fi cards. I haven't been able to find anything that works, although, I haven't really tried very hard either.

Did you try Cirond's WiNc (http://www.cirond.com/site/products/wifispotter)? The site doesn't specify particular chipsets supported, but I know the sotware works with my Prism-based Linksh**s WCF12. I think it sometimes erroneously reports WEP activation, but it does a fair job at providing info on available APs.

I've used Pocket Winc and it works well. Waiting for MM2003...

I like Pocket Warrior myself.

PocketLAN is also an excellent program which can probably do this.

The best feature I love with PocketLAN is the separate folder it makes designating it "Network" on the PPC. Excellent easy access too.
