I have Resco File Explorer (full version 4.10 purchased) and love the program but I notice if I do a soft reset Resco starts automatically after the soft reset which gets annoying. I have looked and looked through the options but don't see anything close to 'start on soft reset'. It doesn't start by itself if I leave my Ipaq off for a while unless I start it manually.

Any help or just give me the keystrokes to find the option in the menu I would be grateful.

Is there a shortcut to it in your \windows\startup folder on the PPC?

Nope, I looked in the windows start up folder and there is nothing there. It only starts up by itself when I do a soft reset. Is there a place (magic or otherwise :D ) where programs that are marked to start after a soft reset reside?? This has me puzzled, I've e-mailed Resco support twice in the last 4 days and haven't gotten an answer back yet.

That would be the startup folder. Note that is different from the start folder. Really don't mean to insult you so, please don't take it that way. Just want to ensure you looked in the right place.

Yeah, I figured that was what was meant in the first reply and Yes I did look in every folder in the Windows directory of my Pocket PC and didn't find anything about Explorer2003(Resco) anywhere. I recieved a reply from someone over at Resco support a few minutes ago stating that they are aware of situations where this does occur and they will get back to me by tomorrow with any possible solutions.

Thanks anyway.

Did you use the app to change any File Associations on the device? Like to open .txt files with tillanosoft Pocket Notepad instead of PocketWord (as an example)? Or something like that?

And check out this (http://groups.google.com/groups?q=%22pocket+pc%22+startup+registry&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&selm=OVNzp7b6AHA.1756%40tkmsftngp07&rnum=5) post from the newsgroup

Thanks Kaber,

This is exactly what I was looking for and there was a copy of the explorer.exe file in that registry folder. I removed it and everything works great again. Thanks.
