I was just wondering if there was a performance difference between the 256 and 512 SD cards....on a 3955 just so you know

I don't think there is. Both 256 MB and 512 MB cards are supposed to be 5x faster than 128 MB or less cards. 1 GB SD cards will supposedly be 2x faster than 256 and 512 MB cards.
