Cisco To Share Wireless Technology

Corporations, however, have been slow to adopt the new technology out of security concerns."<br /><br />I hope this means the dearth of LEAP-enabled solutions will soon be history -- that's one of the big hindrances to broad PDA adoption in large companies. I'm not a fan of the idea of "Cisco compatible", which sounds highly proprietary as opposed to an established IEEE standard, but it's better than nothing.

Cisco compatible = LEAP enabled. It's not really the dearth of LEAP, but the enablement of other vendors to use LEAP. But I agree, it would be nice to use my PocketPC wirelessly, including at work... and this is a step closer to get there. I'm waiting for 802.11b to come out in SD format (that's "Cisco Compatible").
