5450 WLAN 2nd restart hung

Hi all,

I found out that my 5450 WLAN will NOT start properly if I do this:

1. Soft Reset 5450
2. Start wlan, no problem.
3. Turn OFF WLAN, close the WLAN app. in task bar
4. Open other built-in app. like Calendar
5. Start WLAN again
6. At this point it will Fail.

Under ''Status" it will keep re-initializing and kept on reporting that "WLAN is off". Then a soft reset is a must.

Is this a kmown bug?

I believe this is indeed a bug, and if I've heard right, there should be a ROM update coming soon (March, perhaps) that will address that kind of issue as well as some others.
I'm finding myself soft-resetting my 5455 a bit too often, so I look forward to an update!

Hi Multimatt,

You're correct. I thought this was just because of some apps. that I installed, but I did a HARD reset, and the problems still occurs. Aparently, the WLAN is "confused" when it was ON, then turned off, shutdown iPAQ, then have the WLAN ON again. I can see from the fact that during the 2nd restart of WLAN, the WLAN icon in Taskbar is not even showing up.

Hopefully the updates will come out in March...
