sync to Yahoo addressbook without Outlook?

I'm pondering switching from Palm (because the IPaq 1910 looks SO sweet!) and am doing a little research...

Background: For address, todo, notepad and calendar I use Yahoo's services while on my PC and that syncs nicely to my Palm. I don't use email on the Palm (though I might on the Pocket PC). I detest Outlook and refuse to install it on my PC (though I do use Outlook Express).

Question: Can I continue to use Yahoo and have it sync correctly (and simply!) with Pocket PC? (Without installing Outlook).

Hmm, just pondering my post above and wondering:

Can I ActiveSync a PocketPC without Outlook installed on the desktop PC? Or is Outlook effectively REQUIRED? (Ouch... its such a dog).

If yahoo has a conduit yes you can sync them, but I think yahoo use outlook as a address book conduit to PPC.
