mp3s playing extraordinarily fast on the ipaq

hi if there are any tech saviours out there who can help me with this problem.

I have an iPaq 3650 and PPC 2002 OS and no mater what media player I load onto to my PPC when it comes to playing it. It is playing them too fast (as if you hit a FF button while you are listening on a cassette player)

However if I record my voice using the inbuilt recorder and play the wav file without any media player I can hear it fine.

Have you guys/ gals come across this problem or heard about it. what can i do :cry:

Have you tried playing a freshly ripped song? it could be the mp3 file is corrupted.

does the ppc convert mp3 file to any other format before playing in ppc because mine just seems to copy it straight from pc without converting

no, it will not convert file.

If you are using WMP then indeed this is weird if you are on the other hand using withmp3 ver 1.5 then it is normal. Patch it up to 1.52, I think it is, and it will work fine.
