when you use a image for a backround image(instead of the theme image) does the screen have a gray color for any color besides white?
i made a solid black backround and it comes up gray on the desktop, if i view it in a picture viewer its black.

the image on the today screen is filtered by the OS to appear slightly transparent. they did this to prevent the image contrast from obscuring the text of the today screen. so your black will turn out grey. but i think there is a way around this with some add on programs. dont remember where i came across this though...

if someone could tell me where to get this program or what to tweak in the registry that would be awesome. this like the only thing i dont like about it.
