Beautiful! Between that and the Atari emulators (found here (http://www.zophar.net/ppc/atari.html)), I'm a happy guy.

Still need a good Intellivision emulator for the Pocket PC, though.

Look at those screenshots brought a tear to my eye. The number of hours I spent playing Beach Head alone, wow.
The site suggests not installing the main program files to a storage card. I have limited space available on my old 3635. Can anyone tell me how much space (apx) it takes up installed? (I can put game ROMS on the storage card so that should not be an issue)

Unfortunately I've never found emulators (for PC, Mac, etc...) to work particularly well, always having the odd incompatiblity...

I think that PPC just became the handheld with most titles available. Just think about it; SNES, Nes, Atari ST, Megadrive, Game gear, Master System, Mame, PocketScumm, MSX, Spectrum, we've got them.. and now C64, most known for being a platform with tens of thousands of games.

It's a good time to own a PPC ..

I'll be the first to admit that I own a $500 gameboy. I have just about all the emus mentioned and I just bought Pocket C64 the day of release. It works great and they are listening to the forums (they've been in PocketGamer.org (http://www.pocketgamer.org) and are making a forum for their own site) for improvements and hopefully a compatibility list (devices and games) will be compiled soon.

And if you guys really want to geek out I suggest getting a Gravis Stinger Gamepad (mine should be here any day) and visiting this PocketNow.com article (http://www.pocketnow.com/html/news/articles.39.456tmv.stinger.htm).

Man its a great time to own a PPC.

This is actually the kind of stuff that draws users to the platform in my opinion. And Palm thinks PDA's are for organizing. :roll:

I still remember fondly my first computer, an Atari ST 512. It was great for games and with the GEM operating system was also a pretty good computer as well.
(OK I admit it, I only ever used it for games).

Intellivision RULES!! :D I have so many fond memories - C64 is a bit before my time (or maybe it's just that I never owned one). I don't know how well an Intellivision emulator would work though - so many of the games were based on using all those buttons...that's hard to cram onto a Pocket PC screen. :?

Yep, it'd be hard to emulate that controller. Not just all the buttons, but the directional pad was 16-way. Plus so many of the best games were 2-player only.

As a collector of old Atari and Intellivsion games, I'll just have to continue playing on the old systems themselves; still the best way to go!

I was about to say the same thing. I have very fond memories of my C64 -- we probably still have it somewhere -- and I even used to repair them as a kid (it was trivial to crack the case open and switch mainboards).

In any case, I'll probably be checking this out too when I have a free moment.
